The board
Paper board, all the way through.
Our boxes are cut from E-flute kraft with virgin kraft liner on every face that touches food. A water-based grease barrier takes the place of PE lamination, so there is no plastic film to peel off before recycling.

What it is made of
What goes into a box.
Three layers of paper and one water-based coat. Nothing you would need to peel off.
E-flute kraft
0.06 in (1.5 mm) corrugated board. Stiff enough to stack, thin enough to fold cleanly.
Food-side liner
Virgin kraft liner on every face that touches food.
Grease barrier
Water-based, used in place of PE lamination.
No plastic film
No PE coating and no window film, so the box stays kerbside-recyclable with paper and board.
Folds by hand
Scored creases fold the sheet into shape by hand in about four seconds.
Printed on kraft
Flexo in 1 to 4 colours on the kraft face. Colour on unbleached kraft varies a little from run to run.

Is the box recyclable?
The box is paper board with a water-based grease barrier and no PE film, so it goes in with paper and board. Local rules on food-soiled paper vary, so check with your hauler.
Does grease come through?
The food side is virgin kraft with a water-based grease barrier. If your food is very oily, we sample the box with it before you order.
How exact is the size?
Folded size is held to ±0.04 in (±1 mm) of the approved proof.
Why does the colour vary a little?
Unbleached kraft is a natural material and its shade changes a little from run to run. Printed colour on it varies with it. Variation within that range is normal, not a defect.
